Music therapy in the ward for pregnant women
Women with high-risk pregnancies
Since late 2016, women with high-risk pregnancies and their endangered unborn children are supported with music therapy in order to reduce their fears and strengthen the mother-child relationship, which is made difficult during the stay at hospital. Bonding is promoted as well.
After birth, the premature and sick new-borns are supported by the same music therapist on the neonatology ward of the paediatric university hospital of Basel to ensure best treatment.
A TV commercial by Swisslos presented this innovative therapy on Swiss television. To be seen on Youtube.
